SHOPitLA } VINTAGE CAMERAS
We have experience selling classic film cameras as well as the latest in digital camera technology.
Film cameras that were intended for professional use retain the most value. Vintage medium format cameras such as Rolleiflex are still in demand, particularly in Europe and Asia. We recently sold a classic Rollei 3,5 B with a kit of accessories for $463.
There are 35mm cameras that retain a lot of value, such as the iconic brands Leica and Nikon. A 1935 Leica II, a rangefinder camera with a screw-in lens, sold for $256 (eBay 200185661547). M-Series Leicas, a later SLR model that takes bayonet-mount lenses, can fetch thousands. A Nikon F, a classic professional photographer’s camera, can fetch $600 for just the body, with no lenses.
eBay is a lively market for used digital cameras. A high quality used digital camera can get pretty close to retail value! We sold a Canon EOS Rebel with a zoom lens for $475.75, while you can buy a comparable kit new for $615!
If you are always getting the latest and greatest digital cameras, your old ones will retain a lot of their original value. Bring them in quickly before they depreciate too much!
Remember, when you sell on eBay, you are selling to the entire world. There are camera collectors in Europe and Asia who really want those old film professional cameras you’re not using. Any many buyers are willing to spend a high percentage of retail to get your late-model digital cameras.
